Learning Task

In the social science course, HPW3C we were discussing child development and the importance of socialization.  I found a short clip on Feral Children  and we watched it together, then I asked them to complete a FIVE.

The FIVE is very significant as it is a measure of their knowledge & understanding(they must state a fact or two), thinking & inquiry(a question...what if, what about), communication (giving their opinion) and application (connecting it to their own life).

F =  (Fact) =knowledge & understanding
I  =  (an Interesting question) thinking and inquiry
V =  ( Voice your opinion) communication
E =  (your Experience)  application

The task I am assigning continues with children and how they are influenced through socialization.
After some research your task will be to create six slides that outline child socialization from your perspective.
The slides will depict a scenario related to child socialization for example;
a joyful event in the child’s life, a sad event in the child’s life, a family vacation, sibling rivalry or any other significant time where the child has experienced growth.
Please allow the class to edit and comment on your slides before your final product is submitted and coordinate with all  others in the class so that everyone is demonstrating a different idea.  Give a clear introduction and conclusion to your scenario.
Delegate an individual to combine and polish into one presentation on how the whole class believes children are socialized.
